Caching is just one thing that applications should not implement. Take DNSSEC for example. I think it is easier to just run a lightweight caching nameserver such as Unbound directly on the local host, and have the application trust it. This would take care of caching properly as well as deal with the much more complicated issue of DNSSEC.

Hello. So how have you progressed with the conversion program based on XML? The posted .mobi of behave is miles better than anything I've been able to come up with.
RFC PDF is reflowed nicely by Calibre program, and the text is very usable, but the tables and, other "ASCII ART", are not. When only these are converted to images but the rest of the text is left alone, and it is input as a PDF into Calibre, the output is pretty good. But as I said - it's worse than your XML conversion and it's semi-manual.

I did try PDF and the problem is still the same: Normal text is displayed correctly, but ASCII arts and other text dependent on line length and font are not.

Anyway with the arrival of the Kindle DX, this whole problem will probably become moot.

Executives resign for the same reason than anybody else: To no longer work in a particular company. Now the reasons I no longer want to work for 8x8 are personal and my resignation should not be taken as a sign that 8x8 is in bad shape. I am still a shareholder and 8x8 future looks good.
